Umbellularia Californica
California Bay Laurel is a medium sized
TREE 30-80ft tall and ranging from 1-6ft in diameter, and can be single or
MULTISTEMMED. The
BARK is thick and brownish in color with exfoliating scales on mature trees. The
LEAVES are evergreen and leathery with an elliptical shape, smooth (simple) edges, and range in size from 2-6inches. The
FLOWERS are perfect, yellowish-green umbels. The
FRUIT is a round fleshy drupe that is yellowish-green and turns purple as it matures.
